FEATURED EXTERNAL EVENT: European Automotive Forum conference "Individual Mobility in Cities by 2030" at the Brussels AutoSalon 2012
The European Automotive Forum is an initiative of FEBIAC, the Belgian Automobile Federation, with the support of ACEA, the European Automobile Manufacturers’ Association.
Organized within the European Motor Show in Brussels, the capital of Europe, the European Automotive Forum is a platform where EU policymakers, Member State representatives and automotive decision makers can meet up, debate relevant topics and discover the latest automobile innovations.
After a successful 2010 edition on ‘Low Emission Cars: Turning the hype into reality in the EU’, the 3rd edition of European Automotive Forum will focus on “Individual Mobility in EU Cities by 2030”.
Urban mobility is a key issue addressed within the recently published EU white paper on transport policy. The EAF2012 takes this opportunity to bring together European, national and local policy makers, the automotive industry and other mobility stakeholders to debate on “How individual mobility needs will be fulfilled in the cities of tomorrow?”
Public transport cannot meet all mobility needs and individual transport will remain indispensable in the future. However, there are many challenges ahead as individual mobility will have to be cleaner, safer, more efficient and better connected to urban facilities.
In four sessions, the EAF2012 will tackle the following themes: energy, urban infrastructures, new vehicles & mobility concepts and the connection between them through ITS. These sessions will be followed by a closing political debate on “What should be the future of individual mobility in European cities?”
Don’t miss this unique opportunity to catch up with the latest automotive news and to meet EU and automotive decision makers. Earlier editions of the EAF welcomed 300 participants.

The event will be held at the 2012 Brussels AutoSalon.
