The challenge of globalisation

Rapid globalisation is creating major changes within the European commercial vehicles (CV) market with all main manufacturers searching for greater market share and improved global presence. European CV manufacturers are confronted with a number of issues that need to be addressed at European level: creating open markets and fair conditions for trade; harmonisation of technical standards and the need to protect the environment globally.
ACEA has organised a half-day conference to discuss all these issues in great depth. The event has brought together representatives from the CV and trade sectors, experts, officials and legislators to review progress on all related aspects – free trade agreements, new markets and emerging economies, European and global harmonisation, logistics, environmental improvements, …– and to discuss the challenges ahead.
