Our Future Mobility Now ‘Ask a CEO’ Competition
- • Our Future Mobility Now ‘Ask a CEO!’ Competition Extended to 19 August
- • ‘Ask a CEO!’ to win participation in VIP event in Brussels
[Brussels 13 July 2012] Our Future Mobility Now, an initiative by the major automobile manufacturers in Europe has been running the ‘Ask a CEO’ competition to encourage young people to engage with automobile industry CEOs at our upcoming Innovation for Europe; Skills for the Future roundtable. Launched in May, the competition has been extended until 19 August.
Our Future Mobility Now is a youth-oriented forum established by the European automobile industry in order to debate with the leaders and consumers of tomorrow. Young people deserve a say – and this Innovation for Europe, Skills for the Future roundtable is their opportunity to meet and discuss with the leaders and decisions makers of today.
‘Ask a CEO!’ competition winners will win travel expenses from anywhere in Europe and hotel accommodation during their stay in Brussels to attend the all-day event on 10 October. To enter, all you need to do is film a short 1-2 minute video on your webcam or smartphone, asking a question to one of the CEOs!
‘Ask a CEO!’ has already had some fantastic entries, including Lilo from Germany who asked: “why can’t I buy a fair trade car?” and Carlos from Spain wondered: “are we eventually going to be forced by law to drive economically?”
You too could have the chance to be there and debate with these important international business leaders and policy makers. All you need is an interesting question to a CEO.

Background
The roundtable event in October 2012 carries on the success of the Our Future Mobility Now project, which was launched in June 2011 at a large-scale event held in the Brussels Autoworld. It featured the participation of the automobile industry presidents and CEOs from BMW, DAF, Daimler, GM Europe, Iveco, PSA Peugeot Citroën, Toyota Motor Europe, and Volvo Group. They were joined by senior policy makers, including the then-Prime Minister of Belgium and the European Commissioners Kallas, Tajani and Andor.
