The European automotive industry raises concerns over the database of Substances of Concern in Products (SCIP), both with regard to the denomination of substances and the submission process.

These related uncertainties prevent ACEA’s member companies from starting to work in a compliant way on the SCIP Notifications.

  • Lack of unique Identifiers and substance names in SCIP
  • Legal Entity Definition in the context of SCIP
